Interweb Segue
I know I’m not the only one, but I find it really amazing the things we find online by accident. I call it the Interweb Segue. You know, when you visit WashingtonPost [dot] com and read an interesting comment. The authors link takes you to their blog, where they mention a cool new site they stumbled upon. You check out the new site and see it’s designed by some new agency you’ve never heard of. You then visit the design studio’s website and click your way to their portfolio. Their most recent client is some new age pharmaceutical manufacturer making a pill that will make midgets tall, skinny people fat, and make old people young.
What do you do next? At the water cooler, you mention the miracle medication called Doitall. Have you forgotten the passive adventure you embarked on to find out about it? Perhaps, but I find the adventure , the path taken, interesting in and of itself.
Today I visited a friends CSS Gallery and clicked my way to an open source Browser Plug-in which led me to the website of a Graffiti Artist and social commentator. I then thought about writing this post but before I could I had to check the dictionary and find out how to spell segue. It was a 14 minute adventure, and rather than share with you the end result, I thought it necessary to show you the path taken. It’s was a satisfying start to Wednesday.
